Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your background?
I am a 37 year old fulltime father of 2. I work for Rolls Royce and have been trading for 2 years. It’s my passion and I do it all for my girlfriend and 2 sons.
How did you first get into trading, and how long have you been involved in the markets?
I got in to trading because I wanted a better life for me and my boys. All I do is for them. I’ve been in the markets just over 2 years now.
What does your trading plan look like, and how has it contributed to your success?
I mainly trade Gold. I use different confluences my mentor has taught me. I believe having a mentor is vital.
How many accounts did you blow before you finally started to see that consistency?
I blew many accounts and then the light bulb moment happened. My mentor changed the whole game for me. I owe it all to them.
Could you share a challenge you faced in your trading journey and how you overcame it?
A challenge i’ve faced is the one we constantly face everyday in the market YOURSELF. It’s you against you and everyday you must learn to master your impulses.
How do you approach risk management, and how has it shaped your results?
Risk management is very important. It’s rule no1 with my mentor. Protect capital at all costs. It has made my results phenomenal. AsI’m writing this I will be getting a 3rd payout from Traderscale which I am so grateful for.
Looking back, what has been a key turning point in your trading career?
The key turning point in my trading career was simple: finding the mentor that has guided me to this point.
What do you believe helped you become a consistent trader?
Self discipline and my mentor for sure.
What mindset or qualities do you feel give you an edge as a trader?
Discipline and patience and my family as my motivation.
