Considering AF?
Here's What To Check Before You Pay.
Most traders compare profit splits. The rules buried in the fine print — consistency caps, news bans, Wave Stop penalties — are what actually decide whether you get paid.
Full Side-By-Side ComparisonThree Reasons Traders Choose Traderscale
✅ No Wave Stop
No 2% floating loss trigger that cuts your split or closes your account.
✅ No Payout Caps
AF caps first payouts at $10,000 on $200K+ accounts. We don't cap withdrawals regardless of account size.
✅ Fair Consistency Rules
No consistency rule on our 2-Step, ever. Speedy has a 40% cap, well above AF's 25%.

What Do These Rules Mean?
Wave Stop is AF's system that automatically closes every single one of your open trades the moment your combined floating loss hits −2% of your account balance. This fires on all funded accounts — whether you're in a 1-step or 2-step.
What makes it serious isn't the auto-close itself — it's the consequences. The first time it fires, your profit split drops to 50% for that entire withdrawal cycle. Everything you earned before and after that trigger in that cycle gets paid out at half rate.
The second time it fires, your account is permanently closed with no appeal. This means a single bad session — a retracement, a wide spread at rollover, a news spike — can cut your earnings in half. Traderscale has no equivalent system on either challenge.
AF allows news trading freely during evaluations, but once you're funded, you cannot open or close any trade within 5 minutes before or after any high-impact news event. If you do, any profits from that trade window are silently removed — no account breach, just the gains disappear.
FOMC events (central bank rate decisions and statements) are treated even more strictly — all profits from any trade open during an FOMC window are removed, regardless of intent.
This is a problem because many traders build strategies specifically around news volatility — NFP, CPI, FOMC. A strategy that worked perfectly through evaluation becomes restricted the moment you go funded. Traderscale allows news trading at all stages on both challenges, with no profit removal clauses.
A consistency rule says that no single trading day can account for too large a percentage of your total profits in a payout cycle. When it's triggered, your payout is blocked — not your account — until you generate enough extra profit to bring that day below the cap.
Example: On AF's 2-Step Pro funded account, the cap is 15%. You make $4,200 in one session. Total profits: $14,000. That day is 30% of the total — over the cap. Payout blocked. To clear it you need total profits of at least $28,000. One strong day forces weeks of extra trading.
AF also applies a 25% consistency rule during evaluation on their 2-Step Pro model — meaning one big day can even block you from passing the challenge itself. Traderscale Pro has no consistency rule at any stage. Traderscale Speedy has a 40% cap funded only — much more lenient.
Your drawdown limit is the floor your account equity cannot fall below. There are two types — and they behave very differently when you're in profit.
With fixed drawdown (Traderscale Pro and AF 2-Step Standard), the floor is set once at the start and never moves. If you start with $100k and a 10% max loss, your floor is always $90k — even if your account grows to $130k. Your buffer increases as you profit.
With trailing drawdown (AF 2-Step Pro, all 1-step models, Traderscale Speedy), the floor rises as your balance grows. If your account climbs to $110k, your floor climbs too — now sitting at $100k. A pullback after a winning run can breach the account even though you're still overall profitable. For traders who hold positions overnight or trade volatile instruments, trailing drawdown requires much tighter risk management.
AF's Trustpilot rating is not currently displayed publicly. Trustpilot flagged the account for guideline violations after multiple reviews were removed for inauthenticity. When a firm's review profile is flagged and hidden, the independently verified public record of trader experiences is unavailable.
For a trader deciding where to put their challenge fee, an active and verified review history is one of the few independent signals available. Traderscale has a 4.4 ★ rating on Trustpilot — verified, active, and growing — backed by 21,442+ funded traders and $5M+ in payouts.
AF only refunds your entry fee after your 4th successful payout. On a bi-weekly payout cycle, that's a minimum of 8 weeks — during which you must not breach the account at any point.
Given that Wave Stop (2nd trigger) permanently closes the account, and the news ban and consistency rules all create extra breach risk, reaching 4 clean payouts is not guaranteed. If your account is closed before the 4th payout for any reason, the fee is not refunded.
Traderscale refunds the fee on the very first payout on both challenges. You start recovering your cost from day one of being funded, regardless of what happens afterward.
If you pass Phase 1 of the Traderscale Pro challenge but breach Phase 2, you get a free retry back to phase 1 without paying another fee.
This is a meaningful safety net. Passing Phase 1 requires hitting a 10% profit target — doing that work and then losing Phase 2 to a single bad day would normally mean paying again from the start. The free retry means one mistake on Phase 2 doesn't cost you money.
AF's 2-step models don't offer a free retry on Phase 2.
Yes. AF's evaluation stage uses higher leverage than the funded stage. For forex, evaluation leverage is 1:100 but drops to 1:50 once funded. For indices and commodities it halves from 1:20 to 1:10.
This matters because most traders calibrate their position sizing to the leverage available during the challenge. A strategy built at 1:100 will produce different results at 1:50 — and if a trader doesn't adjust, their usual lot sizes now use twice the margin they planned for.
Traderscale does not change leverage between evaluation and funded on either challenge. What you practise with is what you trade with.
