The Story

Discover how one trader reached over $21,000+ in payout share with discipline, strategy, and Traderscale’s support.

Ryad is a 21 year old trader from France who started trading two and a half years ago, while he was still a student.

The typical path of getting a degree and then a job never appealed to him — he wanted independence. So he dropped everything in his first year to focus on trading, and two years after starting he was able to make a living from it.

Like many traders, it didn’t come instantly: it took Ryad two accounts with Traderscale before his first payout, and he estimates he lost around fifteen accounts overall before becoming profitable.

  1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your background?

Hello, my name is Ryad and I just turned 21. I started trading two and a half years ago when I was still a student. The typical path of getting a degree and then a job never appealed to me; what I wanted was to be independent and have my freedom. So I dropped everything during my first year to focus on trading, and two years after starting, I was finally able to make a living from it.

  2. How did you first get into trading, and how long have you been involved in the markets?

I got into trading through social media and by seeing people my age making money independently. It caught my attention because it matched the lifestyle I wanted. I’ve now been involved in the markets for around two and a half years.

  3. What does your trading plan look like, and how has it contributed to your success?

My trading plan is relatively simple; I risk between 0.5% and 1% depending on the scenarios and I aim for a risk/reward ratio (R:R) of roughly 3 to 4. What has contributed to my success is focusing on a single instrument (Dow Jones) and accumulating so much data that my scenarios can be highly precise.

  4. How many accounts did you blow before you finally started to see consistency?

I lost about fifteen accounts before I became profitable, but I was okay with that because I knew it was part of the process and that with each lost account I learned more to help me become profitable.

  5. Could you share a challenge you faced in your trading journey and how you overcame it?

My main flaw was a lack of patience; I traded outside of my regular trading hours. To counter this, I simply set a start and end alarm to fix my schedule, even if I saw a potential opportunity before or after.

  6. How do you approach risk management, and how has it shaped your results?

Risk management is everything for me. I never over-risk and always stick to my plan, even after losses. It has helped me stay in the game long enough to improve and become consistent.

  7. Looking back, what has been a key turning point in your trading career?

I think that before anything else, when talking about trading, we need to talk about confidence. You can have the best training or the best strategy, but without believing you’re capable of doing it, it’s useless. As they say in trading, we’re paid for making decisions, so believe in yourself and don’t hesitate to take those risks.

  8. What do you believe helped you become a consistent trader?

I think backtesting is the only way to see how the market reacts. I treated the market like a human being, like someone I wanted to get to know. To do that, I had to note its habits, the areas it likes, and the areas where it doesn’t react. This takes time, but with discipline, I was able to get where I am today.

  9. What mindset or qualities give you an edge as a trader?

What traders rarely talk about, I think, is, firstly, their teachability. The more you apply what you’re told at the beginning, the higher your chances of success will be, because if you want the same results as your mentor, for example, you have to apply their advice.

Secondly, it’s their ability to question themselves. If, after losing 99 accounts, you think you’ll be profitable with the 100th, I think that’s a mistake. You have to be able to accept that we’re human and that we make mistakes; you then have to make the necessary adjustments to evolve. Trading isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon.

  10. How has trading with Traderscale compared to trading on your own?

Since I started trading with Traderscale, I’ve always been very satisfied with their services, which have clear rules and super responsive and efficient support. Trading within a simple structure is always much more pleasant. I previously traded with several prop firms whose rules weren’t very clear, and I got scammed, whereas here I’ve been able to become independent and perform well without worrying about being ripped off.

  11. How long have you been with Traderscale?

I have been with TraderScale since July 2025.

  12. What advice would you give to someone just starting out with us?

My advice is first and foremost to know the rules provided by TraderScale perfectly. Like in a sport, success comes from knowing the rules of the game. If you’re confident in your trading, the rest will fall into place.
